Top Twenty companies to watch in 2012 - CIO Magazine

"The technology companies that will outshine the competition this year"

Element8 are extremely proud to be picked as a top twenty company to watch for 2012.
This is particularly pleasing given our low market profile, but reflects the highly innovative
nature of xpoint® and the important market need it fulfils.

"We are particularly pleased to be in the company of Google within the list!
This ranking reflects the innovation and centrality xpoint® has driving change in today's
organisations. Leaders know that more of the same simply doesn't deliver fast enough.”
said Andrew Loveless, Co-founder and VP EMEA.

CIO Magazine wrote:

"Element8 Software is a UK-based provider of change management tools that is making waves
in the UK healthcare sector, although it currently has a low market profile overall. Its product,
xpoint®, is a collaboration toolset that helps large organisations manage change initiatives.

It’s rather like the inverse of a traditional project management tool: rather than focusing
primarily on the internal focus of tracking and estimating, the more important goal for xpoint®
is making sure that management information concerning change projects and programmes is made
available to everyone that needs it, whenever they need it, in a format that makes sense.

As organisations look to wring more and more efficiency and effectiveness out of change management,
we expect tools like xpoint® to be increasingly important."

xpoint® selected by Neath Port Talbot to support redesign of e-procurement

Neath Port Talbot / Castell-nedd Port Talbot (NPT) is the third most populous County Borough Council in
Wales, stretching from the coast to the borders of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The Council’s main strategy for the future focuses on “Doing What Matters” which includes achieving
significant financial savings so that it can deliver a balanced budget.

The scale and pace of the NPT change initiatives call for a level of resource and involvement that demand
a new approach. Cardiff Business School guided NPT to establish an infrastructure that helps ambitious
year on year objectives to be achieved through:
• the adoption of common processes to solve common problems
• ensuring the creative energies of all staff are engaged

We are proud that xpoint® has been selected to be NPT’s infrastructure of choice, and is now helping NPT
deliver a first major area of change – e-procurement.

Commenting on the announcement, CEO Alex Clark said “The "Doing What Matters" programme is central
to the provision of critical services across the County. We are extremely pleased that xpoint® is

Element8 Software launched to drive transformation and change programs

Some 70% of all transformation and change programs fail. xpointTM from element8 software has been designed by a team with many years experience in helping organizations transform themselves.

February 25, 2010

News
• Element8 software has been launched to develop and deploy its xpoint™ technology
• The company evolved out of Relay Consultants, a niche change consulting practice, with clients in the private and public sector.
• The success of transformation programs has been consistently less than 40% (Kotter 1995, McKinsey Global research 2008 ) and two common issues were identified, namely lack of any consistent processes to manage the change and lack of sustained engagement with management, staff and external stakeholders
• The xpoint™ platform was developed from two previous versions with major, global companies in the facilities management and financial services sectors.
• The insight and lessons from the early deployments have been used to develop the newly released and first commercially available version – version 3.
• By engaging staff, business partners and management in consistent change methods in a transparent manner, the business benefits of transformation and change programs can be realized both sooner and in a much more consistent way
• This has also shown to make the programs significantly more effective as well as efficient.

Product Detail
• xpoint™ version 3 is available for deployment
• based on Microsoft Sharepoint and SQL Server it provides a highly scaleable platform to engage staff, embed the new working practices and inform management
• developed over the past 18 months at our development center in Bangalore India, the solution is based around the concept of lifecycles
• a lifecycle is a set of phases undertaken to drive change, such as SixSigma, IT projects, strategic change initiatives, each of which has associated activities, methods, tools and techniques
• by deployment of one or more lifecycles across the organization, the platform will enable consistent use of change methodology, so enhancing the efficiency and success rate of transformation initiatives

More information
• A series of webinars are being run during March and April 2010 to explain and explore the element8 proposition
