Having each spent many years working in, or for, companies around the world all struggling to make change programs stick, we realised there were two key elements consistently missing – a
common management process and an underlying technology to support the change.
Over the past three years we have evolved an approach to technology enabled transformation to support companies such as Barclays, Shell, Royal Bank of Scotland and Johnson Controls. With each deployment we looked very hard at the processes and outcomes and redeveloped our
technology. Version 3 launched in February 2010 was a complete re-write onto Microsoft Share-Point and SQL Server.
In 2008 we opened a development centre in Bangalore in India where we are fortunate to have an outstanding team of developers, testers, user interface specialists, product managers and project managers. In India we trade as Element8 Transformation Solutions Pvt Ltd which is a wholly owned subsidiary of element8 Ltd.
Each member of the Management Team has significant experience in both large companies and
start ups and we have funded most of the development ourselves.
After 20 years as a Consulting Partner delivering major transformation projects around the world for blue-chips such as Hewlett Packard and STMicroelectronics, I have a passion for helping client teams achieve stronger business results through change. My role at element8 is to lead the development of the company and its vision for the collaborative business transformation market that we are shaping. Together with our customers, we are helping people across organisations take strategic action every day.
I jumped at the chance to work with Alex because after a career in both consulting (with Accenture) and the software industry (as GM EMEA for SABA) I understood and shared her vision for element8. Getting more people, and more of their energies, directed at the strategic priorities of the organisation is what we at element8 are good at, and my role is to lead the European team delivering on this unique Value Proposition with clients large and small.
Having seen the world from both senior management at Hewlett-Packard and from the CEO seat in two early stage technology companies, the startlingly obvious but surprisingly unique proposition of element 8 resonated strongly with me. I wanted to be a part of this exciting story, and am enjoying the process of working both with the element8 and client management teams to find real shareholder value from getting the whole client organisation geared to making change happen.
As a seasoned finance man, with more than 15 years experience in Board level roles in both a global technology blue-chip and a UK plc, I was excited by the return on investment proposition that element 8 could offer its clients. As well as bringing my CFO experience to the running of the company, I am also enjoying contributing to work on the financial dimensions of our solutions, ensuring that vital and time-critical financial outcome information is available to all.
I first met the element8 team on returning to the industry in Jan 2008 after completing my MBA at Instituto de Empresa in Madrid in. Having previous experience in the software industry, as well as considerable experience in Programme Management I found their proposition intriguing. Providing organizations with a complete collaborative environment that for the first time allows them to do all their transformation and innovation work, while seamlessly continuing with their usual business tasks? This had to be good! From there on, I lead the task of where we take this product in the future. There is so much more we can bring to our customers, and I am enjoying the journey of helping to deliver it.
After a successful career with Satyam Computers , I always wanted to explore how software could support sustainable and cultural change in any organisation. Driving the development of xpoint and working with a world class team of developers is both challenging and rewarding.
